Value Trophy Man


Question: what (or who) is small, green, plush and tirelessly promotes and upholds the values Omnikron has adopted to build its culture and reputation?

Answer: Value Trophy Man!  While not technically a “man” (or even human) Value Trophy Man (VTM for short) has worked with Omnikron for many years as a mascot, and has never allowed his small size or non-human status to affect his ability to function in the Omnikron cultural space.

A soft, green dragon puppet, VTM spends his work days guiding, supporting and motivating Omnikron employees to practice the values he holds dear.

While VTM rarely speaks, he did agree to be interviewed for this piece, and provided us with a statement regarding his tenure with Omnikron:

“Working with Omnikron has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career as a non-human corporate mascot,” VTM revealed. He went on, “These are some of the most dedicated, honest and hardworking folks I have ever met, and I look forward to finding new ways to create value initiatives and connect with Omnikron staff members on an individual basis.”

The values VTM embodies are Respect, Attitude, Integrity, Commitment, Empowerment, Accountability, Leadership and Balance. These values create a solid base of belief, conviction, and trust from which Omnikron employees live, work and flourish.

Whenever VTM discovers an Omnikron staff member sharing or demonstrating one or more of the eight values, he reaches out to that individual, and spends up to two weeks accompanying them on their day-to-day work tasks. Through this non-verbal support and acknowledgement, VTM provides praise and reinforcement, encouraging the entire company to offer recognition and appreciation in honor of the values being demonstrated.

VTM has pioneered the use of non-human corporate mascots in the business world, and one thing is certain – at Omnikron, he has found a group of professionals who consistently embody the eight values to create a corporate culture that is nurturing, collaborative and highly productive. Building and maintaining this culture have lead to exceptional rewards at every level, but most importantly, the staff at Omnikron derives great satisfaction from operating in a supportive, cooperative and mindful work environment.

Responsibility

Respect involves valuing others and treating them with dignity.  Taking someone’s feelings, ideas, and needs into account is a crucial way to show respect.  Although everyone is different, it is important to treat them in the way we would want to be treated.  Respect must be earned by respecting one’s self and others.
