CGEIT Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT


Course Description: 

In today’s – and tomorrow’s – organizations, it’s critical to ensure that enterprise governance extends to IT projects, assets and processes.  Leaders of companies of every size and industry are supporting certification in this area. The CGEIT Certification recognizes professionals for their advanced knowledge and application of IT governance principles and practices. Earning the certification ensures that individuals possess the broad range of knowledge and experience required to support IT governance within an organization, ensuring that IT and business systems are aligned for maximum effectiveness and value. This course is designed to prepare professionals for successful completion of the CGEIT examination.

Five (5) or more years of experience managing, serving in an advisory or oversight role, and/or otherwise supporting the governance of the IT-related contribution to an enterprise is required to apply for certification. Specifically, a minimum of 1 year of experience relating to the development and/or maintenance of an IT governance framework is required.  Additional broad experience directly related to any two or more of the remaining CGEIT domains is required. Individuals can take the CGEIT exam prior to earning the above work experience.

Exam Information:

This course prepares the participant for the ISACA CGEIT Certification Exam.  200 questions weighted 200-800 with 450 as the passing requirement.


This certification is proudly awarded to students who successfully complete the ELEVATE coursework in Omnikron’s Leadership Elevation Framework. [The Leadership Elevation Framework is a trademarked Omnikron methodology]. The ELEVATE phase is designed to create well-rounded leaders. To qualify for this final, rigorous certification, students must complete a minimum of One [1] Final Assessment; One [1] Governance class; and they must also prove accumulated knowledge and skills by completing a Capstone Project. The Capstone Project can be either a Reusable Learning Object or the signed-off completion of a customized optimization project.
